Welcome to Mickel Therapy
Independent Study Ready to Begin
Research study to collect evidence on the effectiveness of Mickel Therapy.
In the first six months of 2007, all people who start a series of Mickel Therapy sessions will be invited to take part in a research study designed to assess the effectiveness of Mickel Therapy. The study will record people’s level of symptoms on three occasions: before they start therapy; once they have finished; and again at 3 months and six months after that.
The research is being carried out by an independent researcher and no one involved with Mickel Therapy will know whether or not you decide to take part. Once the information has been analysed, all those who took part will receive a report of the findings. The findings will be presented in such a way that no individual participant can be identified.
Taking part in the research is completely voluntary. Once you register to begin therapy you will be sent full information about the study so that you can make up your mind about whether or not to take part. Your decision to take part or not will have no influence on your therapy. Only the independent researcher will know which people have chosen to take part.
The proposed study is going through final approval by The Ethics Committee and will hopefully begin in January 2007.
