As the first New Zealander to undergo Mickel Therapy I feel bound to give my account of my miraculous return to good health. I can relate to the many testimonials given byfellow sufferers, and recognise the similarities in my own desperate situation before meeting Dr Mickel. It was in fact this desperation, having tried so many therapies for over 7 years with no improvement whatsoever, and in my 60th year experiencing a deterioration in my condition with nothing to look forward to in my retirement, that prompted me to spend my life savings and travel to Scotland. This was a last ditch effort and the results have been beyond anything I believed possible. I spent 5 weeks in Scotland and had 5 treatments. The flight was an endurance test in itself but fortunately there were no hiccups to throw me, our preplanning paying dividends.After the second session there were very marked improvements in my condition and by the third I had hired a cycle and was able to bike the 10 miles mainly uphill to my lodgings. I was very tired and stiff afterwards, (hardly surprising after 7 years of little real exertion,) but I felt very exhilarated. My rapid recovery from the ride astounded me. The next day I had a very long walk in hilly country and alternated walks and cycling for much of the rest of the stay
